So a football coach slept with an over 18 student? It's one thing if it's a teacher, but a football coach that has no interaction with her? As long as their isn't a Bobby Petrino situation here, don't see the big deal.

I think he was married at the time so he's a scumbag husband, but I'm not seeing anything else.

article on the regents meeting: A well-placed source told the Statesman after Sunday’s meeting that there would be no further disciplinary action against Applewhite. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak publicly.

Evidently, he cheated on his 9 month pregnant wife. Their only child was delivered in Jan 2009, same month as the bowl game.

She was a trainer with the football team.
Also, I would think that having sex with her constitutes interaction.

Seems Applewhite lawyered up with Joe Jamail (one of the whorns top 5 boo$ter$$$). Explains why the BoR will take no further action against ol Major.
