Since Izzy went down, Cierra has been on absolute fire. She consistently made the shots, grabbed the rebound, or generated the assist at critical moments of the game.

The LVs had a very good defensive performance but were a little shaky in stretches on the offensive side (and KY's scrappy, aggressive defense had something do to with that) but Cierra was the difference maker, particularly in the first half.

Jordan was inconsistent but she made some big plays on the offensive and defensive side that kept the momentum on the LVs side.

In the second half, Nared was a big asset who made some big plays at crucial times.

Middleton held her own which is really good considering the quality of Ky's guards. Her falling out of bounds assist to Nia Moore was a play that helped turn the game. I think she will develop into a very good player.

Ariel, Bashaara, and Drea had solid games but they can play better. Hopefully, that potential materializes against SC.

Holly managed the game very well. I don't see how it could have been coached better.

And best of all, the highlights are BACK.

I did that

you can tell that girl loves being a true Lady Vol

I would love to see Kortney on the floor more. She can be tough on the inside and step out and may teams pay with the 3. I believe she can help Big Orange in a major way.

Kortney has good size and a good outside shot. Those are assets to build on.

I believe Volly Parton compared her to Sydney Spencer and that would be an ideal outcome if Kortney can reach attain Spencer's playing level and function as inside and outside offensive threat.

Right now, her mobility and quickness is just too lacking to be on the floor against quality competition.

All our Freshman players came in with potential but in need of development. Nared has come along the fastest because she was the most athletically gifted of the set. Her problem was adjusting the pace of the game and she is doing that. Middleton moves better than Dunbar. She has more lateral quickness and just all round coordination and she is also ahead in the development curve. But AM still has a ways to go before she can consistently match-up against top guards and the game still moves too fast for her (though she is improving in that regard).

Kortney needs a really good off-season conditioning program. And there is no reason why she can not return as a much improved player. Harrison made a quantum leap between her first and second year. But for any one thinking that Kortney will be the X factor in this year's NCAA tournament, well, that would be a long shot.
