i actually think that wingate, chism and crews will have around 65-70 minutes between them and childress will have 10-15. the top 3 will all average a little over 20.
I can't wait to see the plus/minus numbers for those 10 minutes a night.

i suppose so. for all we know, childress and wingate could average 30 while the 2 freshmen average 10.
Thats not funny. If that happens, it will mean we signed two highly rated busts.

well dude, its just a simple fact. pearl wants 9-10 players averaging double digit minutes. childress or howell, maybe both, will have to average at least double digit minutes to do that. childress will be our 4th post. d harris may average a few minutes a game as well. that is yet to be seen(depends on how he does in the offseason). childress will also be our backup 4 since chism and wingate would be out of position at the 4.

i just think that major will be looser off the bench. he will be more aggressive, kind of how asumnu is now that he is a bencher. thats why he will average 20+.

Bradshaw, Lofton, Smith, Wingate, Crews, Chism, Tabb, Johnson, Paissley. Given Pearl's propensity for playing one post for portions of the game, there's a nine man rotation that doesn't require using Screech or Lerch.

tabb and johnson both wont average 10+. i almost guarantee that one will redshirt cuz it would be a wasted year if not. there is also no way that we have a 3 man rotation for the 2 post positions. thats 26+ a game for those 3. howell and childress will average 10+ and one of the 2 freshmen guards will redshirt.

o, and i meant wingate averaging minutes. he wont average over 13 points a game next year.

That means for 10 minutes a night, we'll look like UT-Martin.

Also, if we play small, Paissley or Bradshaw can eat some of those 80 minutes.

tabb may be our best option at PG next year, and johnson is a guard that could help. there is no guarantee either of them will redshirt...

maybe, but passley and bradshaw are our only 3s so they will average alot there anyways.

if u havent learned that pearls style can mask a players flaws by now, u might wanna look for another team to root for. childress's inabilities wont bring us down that bad. many teams around the nation have to play a player as limited as childress for 10+. we'll survive.

if neither redshirt, we will have 5 guards for 2 positions. i really dont think both will play next year. tabb may be the best option, he may not. pearl is extremely high on johnson for the pg.

First, I'll root for whoever I damn well please. Second, show me the elite teams playing guys like Childress major minutes. If this year is as good as everyone wants it to get, that's fine. Play guys like Childress and Howell. However, I would like to see Pearl put teams on the floor that look like those of another Tom Davis assistant. If we're going to play this style, which I personally don't like and really hasn't won much in the way of championships, I would hope the goal would be to put teams on the floor that look like those Gary Williams had at Maryland in the late 90s-early 00s.

ill take 20+ win seasons. i dont know what ur looking for, but we won the east, with a slight chance of sharing the sec. we havent been to a tourney yet so we dont know what to expect. right now, we have no option but to play those type guys. give pearl a few years before u start breathing down his neck to have a roster that rivals duke in talent.

we dont know how much Childress can or can't do he only gets about 5 minutes a game, I think he could be better than major. Our offense is centered around a center so he'll score some points He bangs around in there he could be alright, we cant talk about a player we havent even seen play more than 5 minutes yet. Major is a lost cause, he will never be a good player, he will hurt us. We cant do anything about it because we dont have a center in our class, and Damion Harris isnt very good at all, only averaged 10.5 points in Prep School.

There's a reason Childress only plays 5 minutes a night.

ummm, mattvols, where have u been for the last 4 months? we got wayne chism. hes our center for, hopefully, the next 4 years. hes not 7 foot tall, but pearl loves him. he thinks he is the 2nd best center in the nation only to greg oden(#1 player in nation, lottery pick next year). he held oden to 13 points during the summer. he matched brandan wright. he owned jason bennett and owned thad young for a half before he left with an ankle injury. major isnt a complete lost cause. he will get in the gym and get stronger and hopefully more aggressive. childress is coming more out of his shell each game that passes. harris is good, but was overweight. some experts think he will be a contributor next year.

I'm not breathing down his neck. He's done a fabulous job. I'm simply pointing out that, before our fan base starts expecting anything more than this season, we are playing guys better suited for Belmont or Samford in some critical situations.

I'm still holding out that Pearl is going to keep working with Major and he is going to get a lot better. Rebounding is something that can be coached, and with enough motivation he can get a lot better.

im not expecting more. u are the one expecting more. this is an awesome year and i dont think we could do a whole lot better next year. i never said that wed need them in critical situations. id rather not have them in, though howell did do good in watsons absence during the uf game at home. give him 2 years and we will be a powerhouse. this year is almost up. wait till after next season, just wait.
