Coach Moore was a part of 10 national championship football teams.

The man was a giant in the world of Southern football.

God bless, Coach Moore. Your name is writ in crimson flame.

Bill Battle named AD. Seriously? Damn. Was hoping Dave Hart was moving.

RIP Mal Moore. You made the absolute best hire in the past decade.

makes sense after his quick retirement. Doesnt help bama fans any but makes sense. He worked all the way to the end. Gotta give it to him for that

He went out like Coach Bryant: retired from the game that he dedicated his life to, and did make it a month.

It's stunning how quickly this all happened.

Read this in the paper this AM. RIP Mal. You certainly have left a legacy to be proud of at UA.

Assumed he had gone to Duke for a heart surgery. Not many details in the local paper except it was pulmonary failure.

I assumed it was bad when he got transferred that far away. He may have needed a transplant and just couldn't get one in time. I recall when we were on that list and thank God we got pulled from it (the hospital and drugs he was given pulled off a miracle and shrunk the heart so it could over time repair itself but my family member was only 30 at the time). What a shame.

RIP Mal Moore. Sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all of his extended family and friends at Bama.

I would wish that Saban gets run over by a dang ole train, but that wouldn't be classy.
