He'll be retired in two years. Persuade him to come save the program as head coach and OC. THAT is our biggest--and last--card! Majors did it--and granted he had several years of head-coaching experience before coming back, but Manning won't need to be a coach in training. He's been coaching already for years. He can get us in championship form and THEN become a franchise owner.

Peyton Manning will never ever coach football. He "may" own a team or be in the front office somewhere. He has waaaaay tooooo muuuuch going on in his personal business world to be standing on sidelines coaching. Not going to ever happen.

I can really see Peyton heading down to Bruceton, Tenn on a Monday night in January trying to recruit a kid to come to Tenn. Pipe dream.

This may be a wet dream but, is there any Tennessee, blood out there coaching that has a proven track record?

Hmmm....

Oh yea, Cutcliffe and Chavis!

This... I see Peyton taking over a front office position like Elway has with the Broncos.

There needs to be a "Peyton as coach extravaganza" thread to merge this nonsense into every time it comes up.

Exhibit 475,326

Keep this up, Tennessee is going to jump Alabama in the Clay Travis poll, and rightfully so.

I thought you were referring to his son and his potential recruitment at UT to play QB.

I have a question.

When he retires could he not be placed on staff ( honorary) so that he could make a phone call or two to recruits?

I'm sorry to say this, but comments like the OP are a perfect example of some delusional people in our fan base that really piss me off and make us look like ****ing mouth breathers sometimes. ****ing get a reality check!

Heck I just hope his kids come play QB here...did you see that yesterday for Petes sake??? I didn't think it was possible to pass for 5 yards in a half. The service academies pass for more than that..and their playbook literally has 1 or 2 pass plays. Maybe we should go back to the Veer/wishbone/just da%n runnit. Playbook for Kentucky
