Man, I'm loving this. Peyton is my favorite Vol of all time. The Colts are my favorite team, and I went to BYU. 3 TD connections in the last 2 games. Manning is on fire. Do you guys think the Colts are built for a title?

Note : apologies to Titans fans. Bright side = maybe you can get Eric Berry in the draft.

Exactly, now its not "How far will we go in the playoffs" but "wonder who our Top 5 draft pick will be?"

Manning on fire in 09! First it was he lost Marshall and they wouldn't be the same. Then they lost their Edge and they wouldn't be the same. Then his knee was bad and they wouldn't be the same. Now we hear Harrison is gone along with the coach and all this new talent at receiver. They will not be the same. NOT! It's time for the nay sayers in the NFL to admit. As long as you have Manning you will win.
Last season when Brady went down I expected the Pats to suck. They played well without him. Should have gone to the playoffs. That proved to me that Brady was not the superhero I thought he was. He is great but they have enough talent to put a backup in and still win. Try that in Indy.
Next weekend is going to suck! No Vols or Colts playing.

I'm considering a avatar change at the moment. I'm about done with Jeff Fisher and his affection for field goals. They need a QB and a good defensive tackle and they have neither at the moment.

I usually pull for the Titans unless the Panthers or Colts are involved and am a big fan of Fisher.

Did you catch Bo Scaife during the player intros? When he announce his school he said "the real UT".

I thought that was a little odd playing in Nashville.

I heard him say that, and then heard someone else say "from Florida State of the 90s" or whatever and just laughed.

Yeah, I had forgotten the arrogance of Texans. I had a Texan roommate in Nashville and every time someone said that they went to UT, he'd freak out and say, "There's only 1 UT."

First, you live in Tennessee, moron.
Second, the real UT was founded when Texas was Mexico.

I totally agree, everyone always said, "anybody can put up those numbers with those players." Edgerrin James, Dominic Rhodes, Brandon Stokely, Marcus Pollard, Ken Dilger, and Jerome Pathon all had their best years with the Colts. They got big money, and went elsewhere and didn't have the same success.

Tom Brady's team goes 11-5 without him, with a QB who hadn't started since HS. That same QB is now 0-5 with another team.

This is why I take Peyton Manning over Tom Brady.

Side note, Peyton Manning has never thrown a pick in the 2-minute drill with a chance to win or tie. Tom Brady has done it 3 times (twice in the playoffs). I find it funny that one is considered a choker and the other clutch.

I was afraid this thread was about another "Air Bud" movie for a moment.

JC will be available... but they may want to select him early in the draft so he doesn't end up elsewhere. :whistling:

I love the way that Manning absolutely refuses not to score at the end of a half. It doesn't matter if you leave him 20 seconds, his goal is to drive the length of the field for a TD. The guy is money !

I just can't believe the stats he's putting up. He's got a dinged up line, Reggie Wayne (did you guys know he was the 6th WR taken in his draft class?), Dallas Clark (do you think any team could get this much out of a "tweener"?), Pierre Garcon (6th round pick last year), and Austin Collie (4th round rookie).

Love Peyton Manning but... he can kiss my... when they play the Titans or as long as he is a Colt for that matter. He is a former Vol but I am not a Colt fan. I wonder if people cheering for the Colts just because Peyton is there will continue to be a fan of them when he retires. I will always be a fan of the Titans win or lose no matter who is on their team. The only person that could make a dent in my love for the Titans is Urban Meyer becoming head coach. Sadly... I would probably cheer for him. Titans > Former Vols and rivals. If a former Vol is playing the Titans, screw em. If a rival player in college or NFL join the Titans, welcome aboard.

Anyone hear Collinsworth talking about Manning being talked about as the best QB ever? He said he probably needs another SB win to be compared to Favre, Marino, and some others. He then corrected himself on Marino not winning one and mentioned Favre could get into that talk by winning another this year.

who knows what will happen when he retires but I do know I will always cheer against the Titans. In fact, I may have 16 favorite teams every year

I can tell you what the titans can kiss. Ever since they left Memphis and did not spend the $4 million they pledge to renovate the Liberty Bowl, I have no use for the organization. I will only go to a Titans game if Peyton is playing against them. For that matter, Peyton is the only reason I watch pro football. I am a diehard Vol fan.

Titans need a QB, I'm thinking now if they lose a ton more games they may not be taking EB in the draft by instead drafting a QB. Just think if Tebow gets drafted to the TN Titans. LOL

yeah he said it the first time they played on sunday night as well. he's got some stones on him to be talking like that and playing in tenn... what a jerk.

fisher is a good coach though and i hope they grab berry in the draft... that would be sweet:dance2:

manning is the best quarterback to lace it up in the NFL, period. if he had a decent defense behind him for more than 1-3 yrs we are talking about "4-time super bowl champion Peyton Manning"

You can't be serious. Manning is better than Favre. Marino is in a class by himself. Manning is top 10 maybe top 5 ever. And I could easily see him going down as maybe best ever when he is finished.

The second that Peyton Manning retires I will not be a Colts fan. I moved from Tennessee during Manning's senior year (before the Titans were in Tennessee), and really didn't have much of a pro allegiance (kind of a Falcons fan). When he got drafted by the Colts I adopted them. Who I root for when he retires will depend on where I live, and wherever certain Vols are.

Yeah I think Collinsworth confused even himself with what he was saying. Even if Manning doesn't win another SB, he's still gonna have a legitimate claim as best QB ever. Marino's in the discussion without one and Peyton will have comparable or better numbers when all's said and done.
