I hope he never gets in the HOF......don't think I'll have to worry about it for a LONG time

If Manny doesn't get it, neither will A-Rod. I think we should put em all in. Bonds, Rose, everyone, its a museum, build a wing for the "cheaters" and be done with it.

Pete Rose should be in as a player.

Nothing he did, in terms of gambling, enhanced his performance. He is the all-time hits leader; each and every last one his hits were legit.

I think Manny actually retired during his last season in Boston, he's just decided now to quit pretending otherwise.

Well, he busted his ass for the dodgers to squeeze another contract out of them.

good riddance to the bum. he won't ever sniff the hall unless he pays $19.50 at the box office to enter.

And on the juice for probably his entire career.

Minor details. And noted, yes, but the man still raked.

Is it true that yesterday Olney said McGwire would get his vote as long as he was on the ballot, but Manny never would now?

I don't know, he got caught twice after the line in the sand was drawn.

Im still leaning towards not allowing any of them in, of course, if I had a vote.

But then again, I can see comparing guys from that era and voting for the best, but you cant use "traditional benchmarks" for the era. Sad chapter.

I get what you mean. It's a tough thing to handle. The best of the best can still make a huge case for it, I guess.

he did have 550 homeruns, but i just still do not feel he has the numbers to get in, and with the failed drug tests and the way he retired, there is no way he ever makes it in. if he was clean the whole career, i still find it hard for him to make it in. he would have still been on the ballot for a long time in my opinion. but honestly, who in world knows who is going to get voted in every year, when very deserving guys get snubbed early on.

Everytime I think about the steroids era, it boggles my mind how someone like Greg Maddux (who probably never used any PED's) could have an ERA under 2.
