i really hope everyone saw that highlight reel from manny. it was absolutely hilarious.

1. his first major league hit was a ground rule double but he rounded second base...thought it was a home run.

2. johnny damon had just taken a bouncer off the wall and threw it in. manny cut him off about 20 feet away, it caused a inside the park home run.

3. tonight he made a fairly hard catch and jumped up on the wall, gave a fan a high five...threw it in to pedroia who threw the first base runner out.

As much as the high five highlight shows how little Manny cares about defense, it was still pretty impressive. I have a feeling he didn't realize how many outs there were.

Agreed. The fan was probably just yelling at him to get the ball back to first base. No high-five, no double play.

Still pretty cool, though, regardless. A heck of a lot better play than Lonnie Smith ever managed.

My favorite Manny moment, being a Manny guy, was when he was with Cleveland.

Hit and Run, Manny on 1st, swinging strike, SS fields the throw from the plate. Then he says "Manny, it was a foul ball" Manny starts walking to first, and gets tagged out.

I'll take all the funny Manny being Manny moments for all the Manny being Manny moments in the batters box, though.

the diving cutoff in short center kills me every time I see it, even back to back.
