Is entering the draft. Great kid and I think we all wish him the best in the future!

Good for him, if he does in fact decide to go. Spurrier just said he is still weighing his options and that a decision hasn't been made just yet. I do think he should go, though.

Please feel free to move this to another forum, but I just thought that since his injury happened in the Tennessee game, many Tennessee fans would want to see an update on his progress.

Marcus Lattimore of South Carolina Gamecocks to enter NFL draft -- source - ESPN

Marcus Lattimore is entering the draft and hopes to be jogging and catching passes in March, according to the article. I, for one, am pulling for the guy. When the injury first happened, I admit I was glad at first that their star went down (I know, that's pretty sick right). Obviously when you think about it, no one wants to see someone, especially of his caliber, suffer a career ending injury. Where do you think he will wind up?

Yea real sick. I for one dont want to see any kid get injured. No matter what team they play for, or what the score is.

You might need to re-think your values bro

Truth. I am glad he can play again. ESPN was messed up to show that hit again and again. Good luck, Lat.

I'm hoping you meant you were glad he was out of the game and not glad that his knee was blown out. I'm assuming that's what you mean, anyway.

Best of luck Marcus. Hope your rehab goes well and can't wait to see you on Sundays.

McGahee had a nasty knee injury and turned out alright. Hopefully Lattimore enjoys a similar career.

I think someone will get a steal on ML. There will be plenty of teams that will pass him by just because of his injury, which is understandable, but I think ML will recover and do well in the pros. At least I hope he does. Seems like a good guy.

Somebody needs to draft him and put him on the practice squad for a year to help build strength. He is a hard worker. By 2014 he will be ready to go.

Although it looked worse than it actually was still a significant injury. McCallum and McGahee who's injuries were worse made the long road back and went on to perform well in the league. Here's wishing LM the same---a long, healthy, and successful NFL career.
What the heck did he say wrong?
Anyone who saw that play happen live that didn't cringe in agony and feel for the kid, should step away from the boards and reexamine their values. Joy shouldn't come from someone else's pain regardless what team they play for. I know he said it was when it first happened but that is still cause for concern.

Well my thoughts are he would be a better off rehabbing next year in school, maybe play next year if ready, and go in the 2014 NFL draft.

At best this year he will be a low round draft pick or free agent and probably not play much in 2013.
