i was kind of shocked that he got the boot out of the university...but kudos to the them for FINALLY taking a stand....Beamer, whom i respect greatly, and think is a GREAT coach, will get too much credit for this, by that i mean, comparing to CPF, who gets blasted too often for being the good ol papa figure too many times where it doesnt' work out.

Oh well, i still like the decision...talk about sending a message to the rest of the team....discipline? oh yeah.

Lets be sympathetic for Marcus, if three children were heckling you at McDonald's you would pull a gun on them to show them a lesson on manners right?

Besides I would heckle him too if he was in there getting an application for a job!

Somebody sent a pretty funny email to Jim Rome yesterday........

Dear Marcus,

Good luck at the next level, I know you will be successful. I will see you at the stadium and don't forget your
apron and $4.75 button.

Sincerely,
Maurice Clarett

You are kidding, right?
Vick should have never been allowed back on the team after Beamer kicked him off the first time.
I thought that I saw Vick stomp the leg of Louisville's Dumervil, while he was on the ground during the Gator Bowl, but I was not sure. This Link verifies that it did happen.
The annoucers seemed to quickly try to shift the attention away from that play.
Vick should have been thrown out of the game.

The referee said he would have been if he had seen him do it.

By the way, maybe Marcus and Maurice can form a little singing duo at San Quentin some day. They could call themselves M&M!

My brother goes to Louisville and when Elvis Dumernvil (recent recipient of the "Louisville Stomp") was asked about his thoughts on Vick going to the NFL he (Elvis) replied he was elated because he can't wait to see Vick get tatooed by the big boys!!!

One good hit and he'll be thinking twice about the stomp.

Vick should have never played in the bowl game after being pulled over for speeding and driving on a revoked license. He was suspended from school but mysteriously reinstated in time for the bowl game.

My question is, why do ppl blame Fulmer so much for player troubles here at UT, but no one is pointing the finger at coach Beamer for not "controlling" Marcus Vick???

Ya know...that's a good point, BUT.....those who live in and around UT, and those who know those who live in and around UT could tell you numerous stories about "things that have happened in the middle of the night". Remember the old "Top Ten" list, and the joke about the local cops and the secret handshake. We all have our skeletons.

Marcus Vick ended up on SportsCenter. Ours usually end up at a I-AA school.
