Mario Williams moved to LB

Werd. That's a terror at LB at 6'6" 290. Gotta think he'll be rushing the QB the majority of the time.

Wade Phillips runs a 3-4. If Williams stays at LB he will be rushing the passer 95% of the time IMO. Similar to the way DeMarcus Ware was utilized at Dallas.

Plug n play beast! So much more valuable to a team than Reggie Bush. Although I didn't think so at the time.

Whoever that GM was that stuck to his guns and got the guy who he thought was best when every one else (myself included) though he was an idiot for not takin Bush or Young should be commended. Didn't he get fired over this pick?

He got fired shortly after, and I'm sure the pick had alot to do with it.

At the time, Mario was a big w-t-f. Houston need a RB as well as a good QB and Bush, VY, and Leinhart all fit that mold. Now it looks like he was probably the best of the 4 but he's not done anything to take them to the next level. Maybe if they had taken Bush it might have sparked the O a bit more. Maybe.

Bush has been a "spark" in New Orleans hasn't he?

thus the "maybe". He's always had a crowded backfield to compete with and was never the featured back. Not to say that even if it was his show alone he'd do better than what he's done with NO but who knows. I do think he'd be better than some of the others Hou had with the execption of AF last year.

Sorry but if he can't beat out an often injured Pierre Thomas or any if the other rbs in new Orleans, then there is no way you can justify him deserving to be #1. Houston hasn't had a problem with their offense anyways and there's a reason new Orleans drafted a RB and that's because that overcrowded backfield is not that good.

Payton said Ingram was top 5 on their board. The RB group was already solid. Ingram is also the perfect compliment to Bush
