In his first year at NC State is doing a hell of a job recruiting.

According to ESPN has the #2 class in 2012:
Rodney Purvis
TJ Warren
Tyler Lewis

And they may not be done. They're still in good shape for 4 star Amile Jefferson.

Tobias' brother Tyler is probably glad he picked NC State. They will certainly be talented.

Hope he does well, he could recruit at alabama, but he never could coach them when he got them there.

Gottfried came in to Alabama with a big splash, but things pretty much went downhill from there.

He's certainly coming in with a splash at NC State. We'll see what happens. He says that he learned a lot while working at ESPN - filling gaps that he had while at Bama

All three of them made the McDonald's All-American Team. NC State currently has the most players on the roster. Amile Jefferson made it too, so he could be their 4th. He's between Duke and NC State

So much for their tournament hopes. That Clemson loss should have never happened to a team on the bubble.

He recruited well at Alabama, but they seemed to get worse instead of better as they stayed there.

He's doing a great job there, no doubt. Final recruiting rankings still to be decided, pending the decisions of Shabazz and Nerlens.

Ever since that 2nd half let down to Duke, they've been reeling. And that I attribute to the refs in that game.

Unfortunate how things played out.

They'll have to go deep in the ACC tourney

He can't coach em up.

Unless he has learned/changed a great deal he will fail to get NC St to an elite level.

He got the Tide to the E. 8 but went downhill. Had some personal problems, lost team respect.......left on a sad note.

He's gotta show me before i think he can coach.

Gottfried has gotten an excellent class this year, better than UNC's or Duke's. Amile Jefferson won't be going to State, probably going to Duke who currently leads for him.

Nc state got hosed by the refs today like they did against Duke last month

You'd think that teams as good as UNC and Duke wouldn't need the help of the refs :shakehead:

The Marshall play definitely needed a whistle. There was too much contact to not call a charge or a block.
