I'm inclined to go with Grace, only because we have the same last name :loco:

Grace in a blowout. Franco's numbers are a result of him hanging around about 10 years longer than Grace in a part time role. Pretty sure that Mark Grace got more hits than anybody in the 90's.

This. Franco played well for his age but his stats are a result of time.

I just looked up the stats on Franco. Amazingly, he played until 2007 despite not getting to 100 hits in a season for the last 10 years of his career.

When a Cardinal fan picks Grace, its over. Injuries hurt his numbers.

Mark Grace is the wimpiest 1st Baseman of all time. What 1st baseman only has 173 career HR's. He is one most over-rated players of the 90's. You can tell @wesrucker I said that. (even though he will irrationally defend it and act like he doesn't care).

Grace, because he amassed his stats while playing 35 years less than Franco.

But, he was one of the last to go up to the plate without gloves. Which I find to be awesome.

I tend to agree with you. First basemen are generally very good hitters. I think Franco was a 2B most of his career, his numbers are more respectable for his position. Not that many great hitters were 2nd basemen.
