I can see Stoops leaving Kentucky. Pretty sure he’s reached the top of that ceiling with them. It’s a great program for newbie coaches . If he leaves , look for Liam Cohen to get the HC job
Oh he wants to leave Kentucky. He tried. He’d leave for Michigan on a heartbeat. He isn’t that good of a coach and wouldn’t come close to getting offered that Michigan jobI can see Stoops leaving Kentucky. Pretty sure he’s reached the top of that ceiling with them. agree, they need to make stoops coach for life at ken suckeeI don’t dislike stoops. He has taken Kentucky to unprecedented levels that the school has never seen before. However, he would be silly to go to Michigan. He has it made at Kentucky with the level of expectations, and he is walking into a totally different situation at Michigan. That, coupled with a pending NCAA investigation, may be career suicide for him.
Not a chance. This won't take years and it won't be nearly as severe as UT even though we fired our coach while Harbaugh simply ran. Michigan is a blue blood and they bring eyeballs. No way you can lump them in with the great unwashed UT. If anything, the NCAA will come back wanting to add to our penalties because of what Michigan did. With HARBAUGH gone, Michigan probably gets same sanctions as Tennessee.
Would have been really bad if Harbaugh stayed, the University even knowed that..
He's nuts if he does. At UK, he's in the SEC. Calipari will be taking all the heat at that school. All he has to do is pull in 7-8 wins a season and he's golden there and can go on for years to come. At UM, he's in the fire from the get go. Replacing a national title winner and being THE show for the university. Not as bad as replacing Saban, but expectations there are way, way different than UK. At some point, the money is "good enough". Hey, to each his own. If he's stupid enough to make that move, he deserves what he gets.Oh he wants to leave Kentucky. He tried. Is is stupid enough. His big frustration is lack of resources like NIL cash. In his mind, that’s what’s holding him back. I believe he thinks he could compete with the Georgia’s if he had more NIL cash. Even if they did make an outside hire, I guarantee you that it wouldn’t be StoopsHe's nuts if he does.
