I wish they'd target him 3-4 more times a game. With Pearson out, that is probably likely.

They know what he can do. They're getting the other guys the valuable reps. Also, how do you game plan against the receivers at this point. Between him, Croom, Pig, and Josh Smith it certainly opens the field.

I wondered when someone would start a North thread. Both of his touchdown grabs were phenomenal. I suspect that we'll see him catch quite a few more touchdowns.

He should get more looks from Worley. Throw it up and let him get it. He's tall and physical, he should be thrown to 5-6 more times a game. And not on screen passes! Every time we are in the redzone Worley should throw him a fade or a jump ball. Qbs all around would kill for wr's like croom and north. These guys could make you look really good, if you can make the throws. I don't know if we have a qb who can, Worley would do better on a power run team, not a team that runs the hurry up spread. He's a better game manager, slow, ground and pound, chew the clock type qb not a flashy sling it everywhere qb.

North is a beast. Still can't figure out after two games (even though Pearson went out) why more guys are not open-- Worley at times looked like he had regressed when he stared down North and forced it to him in double coverage when other WRs were open and not covered... Croom should be open every play with the skill sets he has. Worries me that something is just not right-- these WRs should be having a field day the last two games and I just don't see it. Yes, there are flashes and there have been great throws/catches the last two weeks, but overall I just don't see it yet. Maybe the O line is not giving them enough time (two to three more yards to separate) and Worley is having to get rid of it too quick...

75 passes thrown in 2 games, 65% and 5 tds with some throws that pro qb's won't make today.
regressed? I truly don't know that some of you know what sport you are watching when you do watch

I cannot freakin' understand why coaches have not made Croom a TE. He's got a protypical TE body and size--and last year we were desperate for TE help. I find it bizarre. He would be a great TE. He's the same size or slightly bigger than Wolf. If Wolf now misses time, we're back to being weak at TE. What's more, Croom is never going to be more than a 2nd or 3rd option most of the time at WR. North, Howard, Smith, Pearson are all better targets--and that's not even counting Malone and the top WR we've got coming in next year. I think this has been a major screwup.

Looking at these great pics one thing is very evident too me.North has got the biggest hands on a WR I've ever seen. The ball in his hands looks like a pee wee football.

When you are trying to get the ball deep your OLine has to give the QB time. Worley hasn't had a lot of time in the pocket and he's not as accurate when he's rolling out. So hence the "dink and dunk" ball.

College safeties play very deep. It is foolish to throw deep unless you are fairly good at it and the safety is not going to be doubling the target receiver. I see a lot of downs wasted on downfield pass. Give me 5 yards before winging an incomplete pass 35 or more yards downfield. And Worley doesn't really have a great arm. Long odds. Play the percentages. That's what Manning and Brady and their teams do--for a reason.

I'd like to see a few more quick slants or crossing routes to North and turn him loose...
physically he can shield smaller CB's away from the ball, and they will have hard time tackling him 1 on 1... we may see more in the next few weeks with the playbook opening up against OU and SEC teams...
