They are interviewing Buzz Peterson for their vacant head coaching position. You'd think they would talk to the folks at Tulsa and Tennessee before they consider such lunacy.

Hopefully my years as a construction foreman, coupled with casual watching of NCAABB, plus a few years of seeing hat and bpv talk strategy, and gleaning some, gets me hired at eastern connecticut

I hope Buzz is a good enough coach to get a job at a school we play every year, Memphis, KY, FL, I think he would do a great job.

They clearly weren't paying attention in his last season at UT and what Bruce did with the same players a year later. Ask Dane Bradshaw or JaJuan Smith if Peterson knows squat about coaching basketball.

Dude couldn't win with a team that consisted of a back court of CJ Watson, Chris Lofton, Jujuan Smith, and Scooter McFadden. It literally makes no sense.

CJ and Scooter were the only two who saw significant playing time during Buzz's final year. Lofton saw quite a bit. JuJuan rarely played.

Scooter was a defensive liability.

Buzz also was the one who booted Wilborn off the team but kept Crump. Horrible decision.

Buzz Peterson must have some nude photos of many ADs throughout the country or something. Dude sucks hard at coaching....

What choice do they have? According to many folks in the UT Basketball Forum there are only 2 Coaches to choose from; Pearl or Buzz. I doubt Pearl has any interest in going to Marshall.

Looking back now, it's downright pathetic that Peterson didn't have at least 2 of his teams make the NCAAT, if not all 4. He certainly had enough talent, and it always amazed me how Pearl took virtually the same team Peterson went 14-17 with to a #2 seed.

And I don't believe I've ever seen a coach snap defeat from the jaws of victory like he could.

I think I'd hire Jerry Green to coach before I'd hire Buzz. And I wouldn't hire Jerry Green to wash my car.

Tom Herrion gets the job. Not a great hire, but far better than Buzz Peterson.
