I just finished watching the replay of the Marshall @ Kansas State game on FCS Central. I didn't see a lot going on with the Marshall offense. No real playmakers on that side of the ball. Their defense was blitzing way too much in my opinion and K-State eventually just started burning them with toss up bombs. I vote to get Lucas Taylor and Lamarcus Coker on the field a lot for this game. Their speed will eat this team alive. By the way, did I mention that Marshall was getting humiliated by KSU? If you've seen K-State previously this year, then you'll understand why I was so surprised.

I gonna go on a limb, and say Meach adds to his heisman credintials(SP?)

I'd say he has a good chance to bulk his numbers up even more... but he won't get any Heisman talk for doing it on Marshall. Now, if he would've put up huge numbers on Florida..... yeah, we get the point.

Their running back is decent....Bradshaw. We all know with a name like that, you've gotta be a hard worker:rock:

But their QB can run a little bit and you know how scrambling QB's give us trouble. He is also their 2nd leading rusher on the team

They can probably just put their backup QB in on 3rd downs and run with him for the 1st. I'd say they would probably get the first... oh... every time.

Looks like we might get some free yards against Marshall. They ranked dead last in fewest penalty yardage a game with 97 yards of penalties per game:eek:hmy:

I wonder what the chances of a Marshall fan or two swinging by here this week? I dunno that I've ever come across one of them, ever.

They're the "Thundering Herd".. You hear them, you rarely see them.

I can't wait until the Marshall game. It's not that it's going to be that good of a game, but I actually get to go to Neyland Stadium and watch it. I just got a call today and was given 2 tickets to the game. It's my second game at Neyland (the first was South Carolina a few years back where James Banks caught the game-winning TD in OT), and my wife's first. Even though it's Marshall, I think she will love the atmosphere. Here's to the Vols playing a great game!

Well since this is a scouting report I would look out for Curtis Keyes their safety, he's probably their best defensive player and it seems like he has been there forever.

You never know, I seem to remember thinking the same thing about Air Force.

Yeah, I thought that too. And I guess Marshall's QB is pretty good at the option... so that's great news for UT. Well, I hope we thrash 'em. I hope to see a RB (Hardesty or Foster) rush for over 150... that's what SHOULD happen.

Marshall does run the option but I think they are having some trouble with it, while Air Force is getting just about everything they can from it.

Interestingly, if you look at the least penalized teams Memphis is #2.

VG 12: Call Direct TV to get the right channel.

This doesn't help you but for Comcast Cable people you can order it Fri or buy it on Sat. Fri- $19 Sat- $29. This means you get the UT game and other games that day on GamePlan.

A lot of Marshall's penalties came from the wvu game. Lots of personal fouls. Tennessee will win, no doubt. I think our offense has talent, but our play selection agains K State was horrible!!!! IMO, Snyder will do well with Marshall. He came in late last year (spring practice) and we were hurt by the NCAA violations a few years back. Once Snyder is here for a few more years, we'll hold our own. I think all the MU fans know we will lose, I just don't hope for an a** beating! Bradshaw was awesome last year. He just can't get it going this year. Morris (QB) is much improved from last year but still needs to get better. He needs more accuracy with throwing, but can run like a madman. Keyes is good, watch for him, he'll put a lick on ya. Well, there is my scouting report, not bad for a woman, huh? I would wish you all luck on Saturday, but I don't think you'll need it!

He's quiet so far this year...keep an eye on Dennis Thornton, Matt Couch and Josh Johnson on D and Ahmad Bradshaw, Bernard Morris, Cody Slate, and Marcus Fitzgerald (Larry's Bro) on O.
