Marta Sniezek

A name I heard that may be a possible Grad Transfer here.

Marta Sniezek - Women's Basketball - Stanford University Athletics

She is a 5'8" guard from Virgina signed originally with Stanford.

428 assists and 234 turnovers at Stanford.

Yes I mentioned Marta, not sure if she is interested, but she would be a great steadying force for the younger talent we have. She is very cerebral, wasn't much of an offensive threat, but very good at running the offense and, as you pointed out, an excellent passer. Would love to have her for a season on Rocky Top. Maybe she's been working on her shot while she's been out with injury, her 3 point shot was coming along but she was hesitant to pull the trigger.

She is a true Point Guard, through and through.

Have her as a distributor and the two Australian girls as shooters from the perimeter with the inside play of Key and KK and Davis to the rim might be a very good offensive team.

She could go to Notre Dame, they lost their starting 5

They picked up a guard from North Carolina, she has some depth at the guard spot coming back even though they didn't play much. I think Muffett will take one more transfer/grad transfer if she can get one, but it's going to be someone with size I'm betting.

Could be fun to watch, would be so nice to have a true point guard, plus how often do point guards trained by Tara Vendeveer herself come available as transfers?

I think the most beneficial thing is that we wouldn't have to have a young player bringing the ball up the floor. Pressure defenses killed us last season because it was a Freshman or Sophomore bringing the ball up, to have a grad transfer with experience at the point in a power 5 conference would be incredible. The young players can just get down the court and get ready to score instead of panicking trying to get the ball over the timeline. Would be really nice for Horston and would take a great deal of pressure of Massengill to have to get up to speed faster than she's capable of.

Lili Thompson did transfer to ND a couple years ago, but injuries hampered her time there.

No one should worry about Norte Dame, they have a couple good recruits and will be getting some good transfers. Who knows, maybe a couple that have played for the Vols.

I think she'd be a great fit, but guessing Tennessee would be a long shot. I don't see someone with a Stanford undergraduate degree choosing UT-Knox for grad school unless UT has a very specific top notch program she's interested in.
