In connection with the official earnings announcement for Iron Man, Marvel has announced its next four upcoming films after 2009 and spilled a few more details on additional projects in the works. The huge success of Iron Man this past weekend has instantly greenlit the sequel, now set for this same weekend in 2010. Following that will be Thor in June of 2010. And then 2011 is the year where we'll see it all begin - Captain America and The Avengers will finally make their debut. Some additional details were also mentioned on a few other projects. One thing is clear - Marvel is really starting to build an interconnected universe of superheroes and we'll start to see all of their movies connecting over the next few years.

The Punisher is a Marvel franchise too. Saw a trailer at RT of the next movie The Punisher: War Zone

if JL seriously has a diff batman/superman then what's in the movies then it will completely blow loads

He is lesser known in film, but Iceman is one of the original 5 X-Men and his powers are badass (omega level, meaning he's top of the food chain for his power type). It's odd that he hasn't been a big part of the movies and cartoons to date. In the original trilogy they made him a young kid, which was weird.

I was all in the original X-Men even X Factor he still seemed dull as a character to me.

It was actually the most accurate part of the movie 🤣

He was the youngest member of the original 5. He also joined the Defenders for a stint.

In case anyone cares he was recently retconned to be gay.

This is kinda funny. I wonder how long they were planning it because they were possibly hinting he was gay in the 90's and they didn't really see this thread through. I only collected comics for like 4 years, but I remember this issue and the Phalanx Covenant storyline.

Hmm... that’s an interesting call back. Seemed really out of left field to me at the time.

That seems like a really random issue to pull from for inspiration.

I’m guessing they can use the Black Panther in full costume with the mask. They should definitely continue the character, even if it’s in a lesser role.
