Marvel has reacquired the rights to Blade, Ghost Rider, Power Man (Luke Cage), and Daredevil.

It also has been announced that they have scripts, as possible future projects on the horizon, for a Blade reboot, a Ms. Marvel movie, The Runaways, Black Panther, Iron Fist, and Doctor Strange.

(Not to say all those will definitely be made though)

Still leaves the Fantastic Four (and its related characters), the X-men, and Spider-man franchises.

Never understood why they "redid" the Spiderman story. By the time the third one rolled around it was a little lacking and that's par for the course with sequels but the first one I thought was great.

The first one was pretty good. The second one was fantastic! The third one was a turd!

Oh and the remake was meh.

I wish "they" would do a FF set in the 1960's. the characters and their vintage scifi tech just fit that time period so much better.

The retro setting in the The Incredibles is part of what made that movie the best FF movie to date..

I would be down with a Blade reboot if they did it right. I loved the originals. Hell, I even liked the short lived TV series on Spike, if only because they were using science to explain vampirism.

Ask Sony; they're the ones that own the spider-man movie rights.

mainly they just got frustrated with negotiations though and scrapped everything

Their movie rights are owned by Fox.

Personally, I want marvel to be able to buy them back so that they (or at least elements from them - villains, etc) can be set in the same Marvel cinematic "universe" with everyone else

Actually I'm curious on that one; didn't the last one do "meh" financially? Why is Fox holding onto that one as tight as it's holding onto the X-men franchise (which it seems to make a wolverine movie every other year now)

Last I heard there was a planned reboot. I love the FF but the two movies are terrible. Well, I confess I never watched the second all the way through. They ruined Dr. Doom in the first one so when I heard Galactis was going to be a space cloud I just couldn't bring myself to watch it despite the initial trailer showing off some pretty awesome Surfer FX.

Marvel did try to negotiate a deal where Fox could keep Daredevil in exchange for Galactis and Silver Surfer but ultimately Fox let the DD license expire.

Wow, I thought the remake blew the Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst version out of the water. IMO

Spiderman 2 is argued by many to be the best superhero movie of all time.

Not counting nostalgia for all ones its pretty much a race between Spiderman 2, Iron Man, and the Dark Knight.

The remake of spiderman doesn't really even register in the top ten.

I would put X2 up in there too. The opening scene with night crawler is one of the best opening sequences to any action movie

after watching the second Ghost Rider movie make a mockery of the comic, I'm glad Marvel is doing this

It'll probably never happen, but I'd like to see movies based on Moon Knight, Rom: Space Knight, and the Micronauts,
