Just to look at it another way, that means the defense is on the field a lot... Hefney had 17 tackles in the Air Force game for goodness sake. :wacko:

Not just alot. Hefney with 17 means they hit into secondary running alot. No new news here but stat definately tells front line was weak that game.

What's up with our rushing defense this season? Last season we had one of the best rushing defenses in the nation, but now we're ranked in the 60s in that area.

We lost 6 of our front 7 from last year (7, if you count Harrell's injury), so I think we should have expected a bit of a step down. The linebackers are fast, but the d-line at this moment in time is a little weak.
