WVU is making Maryland look like a bunch of fools. This is like the Vols against Cal... on OVERDRIVE.

Either Maryland is going to be lucky to beat Duke, or the ACC isn't near as good as advertised. I'd think the first one. They look horrible.

No. Maryland really is that bad... plus likely having a bad night. Look at what a bad night in Knoxville did to Cal.

how bad is it when your offense KNOWS it HAS to score on its FIRST possesion just to stand a chance..... but cant even come close. This game was over about 4 min in. What a shame, I was hoping at least for a few quarters of football tonight, instead got only 2 minutes!

BTW when was UT's last thursday game? I seem to remember one when I was there, late 1998-2001. What are the chances of ever seeing one again?

Nah. The ACC is just that bad this year. An alphabetical run down of the conference:

Boston College squeaks by Central Michigan.

Clemson loses to Boston College.

Duke is 0-2 vs. Richmond (shutout) and Wake Forest.

Florida State displays horrible rushing vs. Miami then squeaks by Troy.

Georgia Tech can't capitalize and take out Notre Dame.

Maryland has thoroughly unimpressive wins over William & Mary and MTSU, and is currently getting slaughtered by West Virginia.

Miami's offense against Florida State was beyond horrendous.

North Carolina is off to an 0-2 start (losses to Rutgers and Virginia Tech).

NC State beats D-IAA Appalachian State by just 13 and lost to Akron, both games at home.

Virginia gets hammered by Pittsburgh then manages a one-point victory over Wyoming at home.

Virginia Tech is off to a decent start, no complaints.

Wake Forest only manages to beat Dook by one.

As bad as things seem in Pac-10 country right now, a convincing victory for Oregon over Oklahoma can still cement the Pac as the third best conference in the country. The ACC and the Big XII look awful.

didnt we have one just a few years ago though, when we were an arguably better team? Might have been peyton's last year.

WVU up by 28 gets stupid on D. Why throw a guy down while you're 5 yards out of bounds?!?! Despicable.

yeah that was stupid. Maybe we will have another Sugar bowl here, they get a big lead then have to hold off the other team. Would be nice to see a good game, nothing else on

I would like to punch Brad Nessler in the face! I've heard three times TONIGHT him call the misdirection of an "end-around" a REVERSE. Idiot. :BANGHEAD2::BANGHEAD2::BANGHEAD2::BANGHEAD2:

Boy... talk about giving the other team all the breaks. 96 yd kickoff return with only 30 secs left in the half.

It's easy to tell that Pacman Jones went to college at West Virginia when you watch them play.

Boy, I didn't think about that. Sure enough. Hat will LOVE this next comment...

They look like bigger thugs than the boys at "the u".

Compare the arrest numbers and graduation rates at UT and the "U" for the last five years. If you're going to rip WVU, compare them to the Vols. You've got to quit living in the '80s.
