Then why are Georgia Tech and Wake Forest considered locks for the NCAA field? If the league is mediocre, what does that say about them?

The committee always surprises on Selection Sunday.

Not that anyone can predict what they will do, but I get the feeling that we will see an inordinate number of conference tournament upsets this year and that the ACC's at-larges will be the first to go.
