Has anyone seen a list of what high schools will be at the Maryville College 7-on-7 event this year?

I think the date is July 17th.

There were 20-30 teams there last year.

Sequatchie County will be there as well. I remember finding a list online about this time last year but can't remember where? I checked the Maryville College website and couldn't find anything.

Maryville College Football will be hosting the 2010 East Tennessee 7-on-7 Perimeter Passing Day on Saturday, July 17th. Games will begin at ten o’clock in the morning and conclude by six o’clock in the afternoon. The event has been organized in memory of Cody Bowers, a Maryville College football coach and alumnus who died tragically in the fall of 2007. Twenty-seven schools have committed to the event which matches teams up into pools and allows each to practice their passing game for the upcoming season.

Admission for the event is $5.00 and concessions will be sold. T-Shirts will also be on sale for $10.00. Proceeds for the event will benefit the Maryville College football program.

The East Tennessee 7-on-7 Perimeter Passing Day began at Lenoir City High School in the summer of 2007. Organized by former Scots football players Nick White (1998)and Brian Gossett (2000), the event was moved to Maryville College in the summer of 2008 and dedicated to the memory of Cody Bowers. Current and former Maryville College football players and other MC alumni serve as volunteers for the event.

Several local businesses make donations to the event. Sponsors for the event include Chick-Fil-A at Hunter’s Crossing, Chick-Fil-A at Foothills Mall, Food City, Food Lion, Little Debbie, Anderson Lumber Company, Anderson Rental, United Grocery Outlet, Kessler’s Sporting Goods, Hardees-Alcoa, and Coca-Cola.

The passing day is an opportunity for schools to practice their passing game without a tournament format.
