Rebel's Jacob West gives Daniel Norris' 96 MPH fastball a ride for a grand slam as the Rebels advance to the State Championship. Great play all around; pitching(Andrew Bowerman), hitting, and coaching. Rebels win 8-2 at Science Hill. Congratulations Rebels Baseball! :loco:

So Maryville is one of those schools where they hang banners just for making it to the show eh? That's cute.

Oh I remember you(now who is your team?)...you're the guy who wished the Rebels luck at Science Hill with that 96 MPH fast ball. Thanks for your well wishes, and Go MHS Rebels! :hi: BTW, just in case you did not know it, the Rebels do have a banner or two hanging. How cute is that?

I did so I guess you should give me credit for winning huh? BTW.. Baseball and football aren't the same sport. How many rings y'all have in that?

Alti, how comfortable would you be in meeting the Rebels again this season? Rebels don't normally sink under fire, in fact they like a challenge. FYI, it has been a while, but the Rebels have at least one(that I know of) baseball banner also. I hope that the Rebels get to a point where they challenge the Admirals every year....looks good for next season anyway.

I would actually love them to meet again. I'll take Farragut's seniors with 3 rings over yours with none any day of the week, especially in a state tournament game.

Alti, Alti, Alti....was another good luck with that 96 mph fastball comment? :cray:

The ball was hit off the reliever, by the way.

What's the schedule for the state tournament and where are the games played?

Yes NYY that's correct, the comment(for effect) was in response to an earlier "good luck with that 96 mph fastball" trash talk...The point is the Rebels found a way to beat Science Hill, and Norris was the losing pitcher.

Norris went 6+ innings and threw 100+ pitches before being relieved with the bases loaded. Jacob West took the first pitch over the wall. At that point in the game, the name of the pitcher was academic, the outcome was inevitable.

Exactly. I saw Norris pitch once. Got him that day at 93. He was consistent 89-91. Kid is going to have a big pay day coming up.

Rebels vs. Columbia(4:00 cst) and Farragut vs. Soddy Daisy (45 min. after game one ends). Rebels play at Seigel and Admirals play at Oakland. Good luck to both area teams!

Despite my disagreement with you earlier, I was really hoping ya'll would make it to the championship game so two Knoxville teams could duke it out. You guys ran into some great pitchers though, it happens. I'm sure Maryville will be contending for a state berth again next year.
