Now with Darr's performance at an all-time best, from aspects of approach, consistency and execution, both parties are talking about the evolution of Darr's game.

"I have seen a different approach. Matt has really dedicated himself," Jones explained. "I think that Michael Palardy was a great illustration and great example for him in moving forward. And he's dedicated himself; he's really worked at his craft this offseason and into the summer. He's kicking right now with a lot of confidence.

"It's all about field position and it's all about confidence. It's just like your golf game, and kickers are very finicky, but it's all about confidence and he has great confidence right now."

Last year I did watch him punt pre-game, he was booting it ever bit of 40-50 yards just not consistent...hope he does well...we need him to.

MP had some cool punts other than the big boomers...loved his line drive punts that was not field able to lock our opponents in a corner.

Hope he revives the lost art of the coffin corner kick (from 60 yards out).

One thing everyone needs to keep in mind about Darr is that he actually runs very well. He may be great in fake punt situations.

Always a good attribute and weapon to have. We could use some surprises since we'll be underdogs to the big boys.
