They suck. Matt is one of the worst singers in the history of the profession.

Anyway, I'm going to a charity event tonight that has them opening for Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears. I dig their sound... like modern blues. But it's an odd combo

Your opinion. Matt & Kim are alright. Their songs are catchy, and they're better than modern hip hop and rap.

Block After Block isn't terrible.

I will say, most bands sound a lot worse live. I highly doubt that Matt & Kim are the same.

I have discovered a wonderful new artist thanks to this thread, and I don't mean Matt & Kim. :hi:

I like Matt & Kim. Haven't seen them live, yet, but supposedly they have an insane amount of energy at their shows. I don't mind that Matt can't sing well. I'm a big fan of Bob Dylan, The Band, etc. I don't require great vocals.

They're opening for My Chemical Romance and Blink 182 in Atlanta the 21st. I'll be there.

Don't know if it's your first time seeing Black Joe or not but, if so, you're in for a treat. They put on an amazing show.

yeah, I had never heard of them before. Also, Free food and an open bar. Looking forward to it.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of charity has Black Joe playing anyway? Don't know too many organizations that would have a charity event where I'd picture them fitting.

As great of song as this is, I just haven't been to many charity events where I think I'd see it'd get played.

A&F Challenge 2011 | The Party

They like to keep things pretty edgy. Girl Talk played at the company Christmas party and CEO Mike Jeffries had Lady Bunny do the music at his home for one of his recent parties.
