I'm sure he'll be back for our game. Don't know the details just read in the News Sentinel.

1. I don't know what he was suspended for but I feel for Mauk and his family. His father (a successful high school football coach) moved from Ohio to southwest Missouri to be able to watch his son on Saturdays and is currently coaching a high school team in Springfield. His father has cancer and just underwent surgery this weekend. That has to be difficult on the family. Mauk struggled a bit last year but expectations were that he would be better after another year in Pinkel’s system, like many of Pinkel’s previous QBs.

2. Drew Lock (Mizzou freshman QB) was a highly regarded recruit for Mizzou from the KC area. We all know how we have played against previous freshman QBs (Florida 2014, Florida 2015). I would much rather play against Mauk than against Lock. That game is still a ways down the road. In a very few appearances for Mizzou, Lock reminds me a little bit of Tyler Bray. Great arm strength, taller quarterback (not quite as tall as Bray), good field vision.

I've heard really good things about him. Guess we'll get to see him in action this week.

In the limited time I've seen both, Lock looked better to me. Granted it was only the UConn game where neither looked great, but for such a seasoned guy, Mauk seems to struggle a ton.

Not really a big deal..think Mauk got pulled in the last game anyway will give Lock more experience before he plays us though

Reports are on talk radio it's one game and the back up is a young kid who might just save some of thier season like Nunez at SOCO.

I'm pretty sure Butch and TN also recruited him. I think we were in his final 3 - along with Ohio State - when he made his decision (we might have been second).

No one knows for sure, but every one has accepted that he does coke. Every one on campus has started making cocaine jokes anytime Maty is mentioned, because the student body hates Mauk this year.
He probably does coke, just not sure if that's why he's suspended. It's just assumed.
