Maybe it's good for us if Florida goes undefeated...

...that is if we can run the table. Look at it this way, Florida runs the table and goes 12-0 beating Auburn, UGA and FSU and go to the SEC championship game and win it. If we win out, it looks like with UF going to the NC game that we could sneak in the back door to a BCS game without playing in the SEC championship game. Maybe if we get a Texas loss to sombody or if things just work out, who knows? Florida going undeafted would boost up our SOS since we lost by 1 to them.

Thoughts?

If Tennessee wins out, they will go to a BCS game at 11-1 whether Florida is undefeated or not.

So boo them. Boo them loudly.

I hate UF.

They are the only UF team that I almost always pull against (only the existence of ND and SC necessitate this qualifier). I'm not even sure I could pull for them if it helped the Vols. IOW's, if the Vols needed UF to beat UGA so that UT could go to the SECCG... I think I'd be more satisfied with 2nd place.

I don't hate any other SEC team. Not Bama. Not UGA. Not even a Spurrier led USC.

It is difficult to pinpoint much less explain my reason. I guess it is sort of like the feelings I had against UNC b-ball while growing up in NC. The calls seem to favor them. The media seems to favor them... and the whole programs seems to have a pompous, arrogant attitude about them.

I would love to see Florida go undefeated, us run the table, and Texas, Tosu, Michigan, USC, WV, and Louisville lose. That would give us another shot at Florida in the BCS title game...

I like this thinking. Now we just need to get the other teams to see our dilemma and provide.

How about this. Florida wins out. We win out. Through a fortunate series of events they are the #1 BCS team and we are #2. We meet for the National Championship Game. We win (and hang 50 on the gators) and achieve full redemption for our one loss. How does that sound?

it's just sickening to know that we let the florida game get away. what would people be saying if we were undefeated right now? hell, what are they saying anyway? all those pre-season nay-sayers, some magazines having us ranked in the mid 30's, predicting a 6-5 season, etc......
