Maybe Phils Worst Enemy

Well... It seems pointless. But whatever.

I believe if Fulmer is not off the current track by the end of the '07 season, his hindparts are gonna be shipped off of the hill. I know he won a NC not too long ago. But I doubt this program would put up with more than 3 seasons of .500 or sub .500 play. I doubt that will happen though. CPF will pull something out.

Coach Cutcliffe will fix the offense if Coach Fulmer lets him. That we will not know until next year. A good team attitude and good wins over good teams next year will convince the "Big Money" that CPF should stay. Having a mediocre season next year might get him another year but possibly not. We will just have to wait and see.

Not a chance. You don't desereve one. Nor does Phil.

He stuck his head up his rectum and look where we are now. If he can't learn from the obvious and Bruuuuuuuce isn't the only disciplinerian who has been successful so don't give me that 7 game crap. it's the entire concept of player control that Phil has failed to embrace.

If you want to wallow in Phil's phat, go right ahead, snuggle up and get a bosom while you are at it.

ITM, 5-6, lost to Vandy

very nice, well said, i guess you must be as old as your avatar suggests....good post. It sure changed my mind. :devilsmoke:

Let's see...oh, yeah here it is.................... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :horse:
jeez folks...get a grip...comparing Basketball (mens or womens) to football is ludicrous...for one, the expectations are different. for two, it's still early in bball season....pearl could go out and lose a whole lot of games before now and March. and what would happen then? would we be ready to kick him out too?

but that's neither here nor there. All season long it was fire Randy Sanders...well, done. then it was fire PW and JRS...well, done. so after that, that's still not good enough....and before we even see one spring practice, and even hire a WR coach, we're still on the CPF head hunt...get over it folks, he aint going no where, and i wonder what your tune will be next year should he win 9 or 10 games? i'm sure it will be cause of luck....and as for the recruiting...so freakin what? it's still early there too....y'all just need to relax, if you want him fired, then you better start passing around the offering plate and pony up about 6 million. until then, support your freakin team. :mf_surrender:

i'm not even saying CPF is all that great, but he is our coach, and he ain't going nowhere....and it's one freakin' season. Now we start having a string of this, then, well, it is time to do something, but until this is a trend, and not just one time thing, he gets his chance to fix it. :banghead:

I could not have said it better.

i believe like most fulmer still has his job for a while. the only thing that will get him ousted is the fans turning on him, which has already happened to a certain extent. we have big games at home next year and if we play like we did this year at home fulmer WILL NOT SURVIVE. a 7-4 or 6-5 season in my opinion will run fulmer out of town and i believe that is what our record will be. the only thing that will get me off his back is a more exciting offense and a sec championship. neither looks good right now. :banghead:

Although there is debate on how much time Phil has if the contunued downward spiral continues (that is among those that have a lick of sense and can locate their heads north of their butts), the point of this thread, (which has survived the hijacking attempts of several who find themselves south of their belt lines and immersed up to their necks colonic) is that microscope of public scrutiny on Phil has been dialed into high power recently by Bruce Pearl's success and his pointing to Pat Summit for accomplishmen........and not once in Phil Fulmer's direction.

The glaring conclusion is either that:

a) this action by Pearl makes no difference (from a pre-colonic viewpoint) or
B) it is of some significance, low, medium or high.

I say it is high-high.

I believe Phil would have to agree. :eek:k:

Touche my friend! Pearl brings new hope and fresh vigor to a fomerly floundering program. Instant respect from the national media. Very articulate and chriasmatic(sp.). and so far seems to be an excellant utilizer of what talent UT has. Phil, at least as of late, has none of these characteristics.

At lease judging by next years recruiting class he is an equal recruiter to CPF especially considering Tennessee is not considered a basketball power.

We may eventually rue the day we hired CBP if he jumps ship and goes to a rival school such as UK. This is one thing that we don't have to lie awake at night and worry about with Fulmer, not the he would ever get the chance, especially pulling down 5-6 seasons!

I hear you about Pearl and can only hope that he creates his own basketball Heaven like Pat did.

If Phil wants to go to Ky in 2007, the plane ticket and the moving van are on me. :wink2:

Oh no, you don't. The Great Pumpkin can go anywhere but Lexington. :yuck:

If there's anyone reviled more in the UK Football fan's heart than Steve Spurrier, it would be Phil Fulmer.

My sentiments exactly. No offense, but what has Phil done to UK football that 20 other coaches haven't done.

Nice question, but he's put together a string against the Cats that's pretty unprecedented when you compare us to other SEC teams. We have long losing streaks against certain teams, but Phil's record against us is better than most.

Uh...he has beaten them 13 times in a row, continuing a streak that is 2nd longest in the nation. He has beaten them in heartbreakers and routes, all the while appearing to be this "Golly, this is a good rivalry," overweight, unassuming, homegrown good ol' boy. They think he is an idiot--the anti-flash, anti-Mumme, anti-Pitino--and they can't beat him.

If I were a Kentucky fan, I would hate him. But I'm not, so I think it is really, really funny

If you haven't noticed, we hired the anti-Mumme, and got a real-to-life, dead mummy in Brooks. Tubby isn't exactly Captain Outrageous, either. There's no one more boring than RB, but that said, there's nothing I would rather see than a win against the Vols. It's nothing personal. To be a Kentucky fan means to have a deep desire to beat Tennessee. And somehow, Fulmer just has our number.

But back to the topic. There's no way that Phil is threatened by any success that Pearl can put together. It's like comparing apples and, ahem... oranges. :birgits_giggle:
