Have a feeling Saban wouldn't agree to this - and if that's the case we don't need to be wasting those time outs in such a big game.

Saw this in another thread. I don't believe that Satan has to agree does he? Thus the penalty of losing a timeout a half.

No - he doesn't have to. But if it is agreed on before then we don't have to suffer the TO penalty.

Actually, even if the opposing coach agrees then the penalty is still enforced I believe. I think the NCAA has to grant some type of waiver for there to be no penalty.

Like you said, it's probably not worth the penalty in Kiffin's first year. Maybe a few seasons down the road though.

Hell, they could grant the waiver to USC and maybe other games could follow?

Ok thats what it was - the NCAA has to agree... heard wrong - but either it can be prevented if you plan it way ahead of time I guess and both coaches agree.

I don't think that Saban would even entertain a question about his team chaning the uniform routine. He seems to be quite good about keeping things simple and focusing on what is important.
