Mc hammer vs vanilla ice

I would say Vanilla Ice > MC Hammer. But I was told a few years ago Vanilla Ice didn't even write Ice Ice Baby but claimed he did when it was hot...can anyone provide a link to prove he didn't write it? If he wrote it then Vanilla Ice > MC Hammer. If not then Hammer > Vanilla Ice.

Hammer because his pre-sellout stuff was great. "Turn This Mutha Out"..it's still awesome. After that he became embarrassing. I don't know which was worse, his Adams Family rap or him then trying to go "gangsta" in the mid 90s.

Vanilla Ice, where to start. I'm pretty sure he didn't write Ice Ice Baby, on top of that he lied about where he was from. He also made the worst movie ever "Cool As Ice" and to top it off his second biggest hit was "Ninja Rap" from TMNT 2. He too tried to go "gangsta" in the mid 90s and his results were even worse than Hammer's.

I'm fairly upset that this thread went serious.

It's like a prank call gone wrong.

I'm ashamed to say this but when I was in high school I went to a M.C. Hammer concert in Knoxville.

Ice loses this one hands down just because he used to fool around with Madonna... ugh.

You thought they couldn't touch this, but instead they turned this mother out.

True story: Back when Vanilla Ice was popular I was working with a guy who was about 19 years old. We were in the work van with the radio on and "Under Pressure" came on. He said to me "turn that up" So I did. He asked who that was singing that song. I told him it was Queen w/David Bowie. He got mad and said, and I could NOT make this up, "they are gonna get sued, they stole that song from Vanilla Ice". I explained to him after I stopped laughing that the song in question came out in the 70's and I think Vanilla Ice might be the one who needs an attorney.

Hammer wins in a fight.

It doesn't really matter who made better music. That's like getting to choose your method of execution.

Hammer. at least he was honest about using Rick James' "Superfreak"

vanilla kept insisting that he didn't use "Under Pressure" because there was a phantom extra beat in the sample

If you listen to the 2 tracks, the beat from Ice Ice Baby really is slightly different from Under Pressure. There is one extra tap of a cymbal at the end, but let's be honest, VI totally ripped that beat off, even with that miniscule difference.
