A+ imo. I've been in the top part of posters throwing the most hate at mcbee but i was impressed and surprised last night. I figured Horne's constant screens and cuts wouldn't allow mcbee to stick with his man but thought he did an above average job fighting through them and keeping his arms up trying to disrupt the ball. Great job! He really hustled hard so props to him!

I will take his defensive lapses he will inevitably have each game if he shoots that way. It's when he goes 1-7 that it really hurts us, when he's shooting though you take the defense that comes with it. He did play very well though last night, IMO his best all around game in orange.

Agree, I too have given him grief and have questioned the amount of playing time he continues to get, but at some point- which happens to be last night- heart and hustle wins over. He played to the best of his ability- which is kind of frustrating in a sense to see someone play like that and then see a couple others on the team that have much more God given ability, but don't put it on the court. :good!:

He played really good last night. I would actually say his aggressiveness on defense actually makes him look bad sometimes because he gets too tight with the ball handler.

Question. Why would you hate any UT player if the coach thinks He should be out there. Now if you think the coach is trying to lose the game I would understand better.

There is no doubt that McBee turned a corner defensively in the off-season. However, it's pretty clear that he is a competent defender against lesser-caliber guards. He still gets tore up against most typical SEC guards. In any case, you have to give the guy credit for improving and not being a complete liability like he had been up until this season.

Now all we need is for the crowd at TBA to support the rest of the team as they do for Skylar.

Kansas will always be his best game in orange.

And that liability is even less when he can stroke it like he did last night.

Agreed crowd was pathetic last night, very say showing by students especially.

Kansas won him his scholarship. Kansas>>>>>uscjr, neither game is won without mcbee's shooting.

He had a scholarship either way. He was basically told when he came here if we get an extra it's your, Kansas helped but it's not the reason he got one.

That shot was huge but one shot doesn't equal a game. Last night was his best all around game, Kansas was his biggest shot ever.

You can never fault his effort. He knows and the crowd knows that he isn't the most talented player out there so he has to bust his butt to be competitive.

If most of our players played as hard as him, we'd be much better.

It was a great game for him, but he should not play much against UF. There is no way he can guard Beal, walker or Boyton

i respect and support any player in orange and have been behind martin since he took the job. Doesn't mean i'm not allowed to question his judgement. Mcbee played lights out but you rarely see that everynight. I still think he is a liability but i wanted to have a "ftr" and state i was really proud of him last night and appreciated his effort. Doesn't mean i hate the guy. There is plenty of likeable, talented guys that don't belong on the court with D1 talent.

It's not about questioning the coach or analyzing the game. It's not about getting frustrated with a player and wanting him benched. It's about guys coming out, like in your statement above, and saying that the kid doesn't belong on the court. That just seems ridiculous to a lot of people that watch and know the game, including the coaching staff, opposing coaches, fans and commentators.
