You don't have to make another point all season as long as you get in people's face like you did today. Absolutely solid! I don't care how many points the kid ended up with, everytime he touched the ball, McBee was in his face. I've never seen somebody have no business on the floor as far as comparing talent to other players and make up for it with effort. I use to think that was a dumb comment but I guess I seen what other people were talking about today. He was fighting through screens, making cuts, and just really playing good defense today. Great job! :good!:

I agree 100%. I have been really hard on him, but this was by far his best defensive performance of his career.

ABSOLUTELY. Talk about someone knowing and understanding their job on the court. If Mcbee didn't shut Jenkins down in the second half the outcome would not have been the same. Job well done

You should have seen him come out when they called his name before tip off. I've never seen him look so mean. I thought he was going to tackle one of his teammates. I told my wife he came ready to play today. It was a great game today and the arena was awesome this afternoon.

As I have said several times, compare his performance on D when he is matched up against a SG, not a PG. His performance against SG's has been very good for some time now. It is clear that the coaches have focused him more on D as his first priority. Whatever points he gives us is a plus as long as he limits his attempts when they are not going in, which he seems to do on his own.

I loved how he would call people off of Jenkins if they started guarding him. McBee had his eyes on one thing only in that game.

He used to struggle defensively. Tonight he looked stellar. Cuonzo has done a great job!

I have never seen him that fired up before.

Mcbee has always given up blow bys to quicker players. The thing is, everybody does. Have never understood why he seemed to get singled out on here as soon as it happens. He's played good D all year. If he hadn't been, CM surely wouldn't have had him guarding the leading 3 pt shooter in the country right out of the gate.

Because of his lack of length, it looks a lot worse. McRae gets blown by a lot, but because of his length, it doesn't look as bad and he is able to sometimes recover with that length. Also, McBee does overplay the shot.

McBee's defensive performance today had little to do with ability and everything to do with desire and effort.

it's also more noticeable when it happens to the only white dude on the floor for UT and happens to be a step slower than the guys he is guarding sometimes, and has a porn stache.

As well as length of course.

Went to high school and played with John Jenkins and is one of my good friends. I wouldn't compliment Mcbee too much considering John's ball handling is suspect to begin with...Not tryin to parade on staches performance just throwing out that info Still overall great win!!!

Nice try, but the ball handling was not what was in question. It was the D played my Skylar, and not letting him pull off his quick 3 like he had been doing.

Comforting to know a scholarship was wasted on one defensive showing from Skylar. If Tatum didn't step up i don't think we would have pulled out a W with only 2 pts from Skylar after clocking 28 min

learn the game

Jenkins didn't touch the ball the first 5 minutes because he wasn't playing as hard as Skylar. That's also why he was benched and was never really able to go off.

You don't understand the different roles of role players and how they can change with every game. That's not our fault.

Great post....No one on the team gives up more blow bys than Richardson. And he is supposed to be the defensive stopper.

Did you say you played basketball, or is that just some sick fantasy you made up?

I can do it, too.

I used to play with LeBron James back in high school. Stopping him is nothing, since his effort is suspect. I'm glad (my team) wasted so much money on players that can defend him.
