Mr. GF Packer badly mischaracterized Palin's presence, at least as I see it, but he's partially right about McCain's position. What he fails to point out is that politicians have to fit a particular mold to get the nomination, then to be elected and can be themselves after being elected THE SECOND TIME.
He tried to make Palin out to be the hero of the evangelical crowd, which in no way equates to anything I've heard from anyone that I know or have discussed this with. She represents a departure from the old school, shows some diversity in a party devoid of it, is youth, is energetic, is tough, is bright, is attractive.....
