Is Alabama going to have another Heieman Trophy winner in 2012?

I do not know of any QB in the nation having as good as year as AJ.

He is a bammer but he is having a great year. I think his name is rising.

McCarron is a good QB.

But have you seen the amount of time he gets to throw? Dear God.

dude from KSU is doing much more but McCarron has the benefit of being on what undoubtedly will be an undefeated team. He's more than a game manager (see Jay Barker or McElroy) but Klein has been much more dynamic and critical to the team.

Bama's QB could be replaced; KSU's could not.

Good summary of why I think Klein gets the edge.

AJ has 2 definite first round picks on his O-line. Both of them are likely more worthy.

No way he's the front-runner. Right now Te'o and Klein are top 2. But he's starting to climb his way up.

Why do you say that? cause his team is undefeated? what stands out about him?

Things like game management, accuracy, head for game, presence on field, lack of mistakes, consistency, completions. TD's, One INT per year average. Leader. There are different ways of standing out. Just depends on what you are evaluating. Klein is no doubt the top candidate so far, however. No reason for him not to be.

Its impressive, no doubt.

Just not sure if you put him on another team he can do that.

He couldn't. He'd have to throw more and in higher pressure situations. But there are plenty of guys you could put on his team and they could do that. Alabama's latest game manager doesn't impress me. That team wins because they are good, not because their QB is outstanding. He may very well be outstanding, but he isn't relied upon to win games for them. That rules him out for me.

If Redshirt Freshman QB Johnny Manziel breaks Cam Newton's total yardage record is he a serious contender?

Cam Newton currently holds the record for total offense with 4,327, while Johnny Manziel is sitting at 3,009 yrds. If bowl game are not included against the total, 'Johnny Football' needs about 330 yrds a game. If the bowl game is included, he'll need to average 264 yards per game.

Not trying to stir the pot, because I don't think the voters would give it to a freshman, but he's putting up some crazy numbers.

Not sure if he still is, but I saw earlier in the year he was ahead of Tebow's Heisman year in yards and TDs.

He's a special player. If he doesn't get considered this yer, he will definitely have 2 future Heisman runs.
