McCarron will be telling Saban....

As an Alabama fan I don't care if AJ becomes a pro-bowler. I just want him to spank the voll's each year.

That means so much more than pro stats.

Team flair: Auburn, Bama, UT

Comment Style: Post-Modern Sperglorderism

This all seems legit.

these exact words in 3 years "coaches told me to go back to college like you did coach because I cant cut it in NFL" this dude will get pulverized in NFL with a mouth like his.. I cant wait to to see him come back to red team crying about how bad his anus hurts and saying but but remember when....

You mean like Casey Clausen,Eric Ainge, and Jonathan Crompton?

What bearing does his NFL future have on what he's doing for Bama?

What makes a good NFL player has very little to do college success, especially at the skill positions.

If you look at his stats he has a great TD/INT ratio. He has a high completion % too. Translation - he has good accuracy and makes good choices with the football. His arm strength isn't the best but its not bad either. I dont get all the hate on McCarron. I think he's gonna be ok in the NFL. He may not be a star but to say he's gonna completely bust is just dumb IMO.

Are you serious? Shuler did better than any bammer QB since the 70s. No, he wasn't that great, but at least he started multiple games with different teams.

Are you actually a Vol?

There is a reason Shuler started multiple games with different teams. There is also a reason this combination was short lived.

Starting QB's in NFL with any type of meaningful career...UT - 1...Bama -3...Argument really means nothing at the end of the day.

Other than Namath, name one Bammer QB who has had a huge NFL career other than given a shot and watching a guy from Delaware or some other school succeed in front of him? McCarron is just another one . Gators are worse ... name one Gator QB that's done anything notable in the NFL?

Ken Stabler, Bart Starr

Jeff Rutledge was in the league from 79 til 92 and has multiple superbowl rings.

Thats better than Shuler.

so BOOM mthfkr

For a long long time Alabama QB;s had more Super Bowl rings than any other team. It may not still hold tru but it was for many years.

BOOM BOOM !

You sir, need to sh!t and fall back in it.

(How is it possible to be a fan of Auburn,TN, and Bama...)

So lets see QBs in the NFL that are worse than AJ: Ponder, Gabbert, Dalton, Freeman, Bradford, Leinart, Fitzpatrick, Mallet, Bray, Alex Smith, MCcoy, Sanchez.

Andy Dalton has the Cincinnati Bengal;s at 6-2 and first place in the AFC North. You're an idiot.

Alex Smith is leading the 8-0 KC Chiefs. Again, you're an idiot.

Yeah, I'm sure he'll be depressed looking at his NC rings and Katherine Webb.

Sucks to be him.

Considering college championship rings are made from fool's gold and cubic zirconia, I'd probably be pretty depressed realizing it took so much work to get something so cheap!

You're a moron. Rutledge played 13 or 14 years and barely started 10 games over his entire career. BUT HE HAS SUPER BOWL RINGS!

Oh well for a school that makes up college championships, might as well make up Super Bowls too....

Maybe he's counting that 4th down conversion for which he is famous.

I almost made a thread on this but mccarron is a deush man. These quotes made me wish that we could play him with a better team behind us.

McCarron said he took that personally and ''wanted to come out and score as many points as possible on them'' and not leave the game whatever the score.

''For (them) to kind of say we haven't deserved their respect to call us Alabama, they call us 'Red Team,''' McCarron said. ''And for their head coach to come out and say they can play against anybody, I don't think we're just anybody.

''We won two national championships in a row and we're undefeated right now. So we're not just anybody.''

And he's right. The Red Team 'strategy' was lame, and I bet CBJ will refer to them as Bammer next time.

its kind of psychologically disturbing how 1. you hate this 20-whatever year old kid you have never met b/c he plays QB for the rival of your alma mat- uh, the team youre a fan of, and 2. that it gives you some mental satisfaction to think that he may fail in the NFL. think about that.

McCarron won't be a great NFL qb, but he has been a great field general for Saban. The kid doesn't lose games. He's a bammer, so I don't like him, but gotta give credit where it's due. He knows how to win. Want further proof? Katherine Webb. Boom.

Katherine Webb will be in orange and belonging to Josh Dobbs by this time next year. Mark it down.
