Has anyone read the article on ESPN.com. I don't know how to post it here so someone else can do that if they want. It has to do with McClendon going to a Lady Vols game with his friend from highschool whose dad is a booster. McClendon and his mom went to a pregame meal and sat in courtside seats provided by Ball(the booster). The McClendons have to pay back the money for the meal and the seats.
I have two problems with this. One, this guy is a longtime friend regardless if he's a booster. And two, we've already signed McClendon, what good does this do for our recruitment of him? All this does add fuel to the fire for bammers and the like. :realmad:

yeah, it was on here last night...it's really no big deal....it's a secondary violation. It was self reported, they are going to pay all back....and it didn't offer any advantage in his recruitment seeing as how it's past signing day....

no big deal....

I agree it's no big deal. Was done after committment had taken place and total restitution was $29.00 I believe. Now, had he been on the front row b4 signing....lol

Have you read the associated thread on Terdfans? There are more posts on that message board about this than there are about the game Saturday  :nener:

It's funny to read the different views. You have the ones w/ common sense and then you have the true bammers! Link so you know I'm not misquoting.

Example of the funny:
How in the heck UCHEAT keeps pulling these shenanigans and continues to skate the way they do? This has gotten Waaaaaaaaay outa hand. I hope that someone with alot more legal savvy than I can explain why Bama can't play on an even playing field, when the rest of the SEC can get off with hardly a slap on the wrist? It is as obvious as the nose on your face what's going on. Is there any possible way that the NAZZIS can be held accountable for there actions and lack thereof?
Tennessee Is a bad College. There is very little good people there.
Some of y'all need to realize that it's not the severity of this particular infraction that has folks worked up, it's the accumulation of infractions that are overlooked by the nzaa's that rile us up. The viles continue to play fast and loose with the rules because they know they can get away with it.

Common sense:
I personally think this would be a much bigger issue 2 months ago. He has already signed on the dotted line to play for ut. An infractions? Yes. Secondary, yes. Less than a slap on the wrist.

The tinfoil hats are out on this one!

That just about sums it up right there. :birgits_giggle: At least I know I is good people.

The difference in grammer is amazing b/w the common sense posts and the conspiracy posts. I'm surprised some of them can even log in.

Bammers are just mad because they cheated for all of those years and then finally got caught twice in one decade. I don't know why I'm even lowering myself to respond to "there is very little good people there". Apprently the internet is so easy to utilize these days that any idiot can find a medium for voicing their opinion.
