McCoy in danger to being cut by the Browns?

I'll believe it when I see it. I highly doubt Mike Holgrem will allow it.

That would be an epic fall from grace.

I can't believe they would actually cut him though.

I doubt it simply because he's a 3rd round pick from a draft that just happened

you don't see teams say "screw it" before year one with a guy they invested that much in.

I'm not believing this at all until it happens

on a side note though, we all had to know Holmgrem was going to be starting Delhomme and/or Wallace; he went well out of his way to get them (and i believe talked both them up too quite alot)

I don't think they will cut him, but if they do I hope the Arizona Cardinals snap him up quickly. Matt Leinart is atrocious, and they should have made that final determination and drafted another young QB two years ago. They have set the franchise back at least 3 years by clinging to this worthless POS.
If the Cardinals were smart, they would make a run at Leftwich...

No way the Browns are this dumb. Colt can be a solid, not great NFL QB....if this happens I agree the Cards would be flying to Cleveland to pick him up.

Nobody, not even Cleveland, is dumb enough to cut a 3rd round pick in preseason, especially a QB. They could easily trade him if they didn't want him. Like TrueOrange said, it's not like the Browns were expecting McCoy to come in and start this year, even at the end of the season.

Leinart just received the hook today. Derrick Anderson is now the Cardinals starting QB.

I dunno.

the statement from the coach was just that it was for this next preseason game

....the way he's talking though in the other quotes looks more along the lines of "I don't know who to start; I'm using the next guy in hope of finding something that can jumpstart this offense for the better"
