I wish the best for him. If there was ever a team that he needed to be drafted by, it was the Pittsburg Steelers. No excuses now, it is all up to him and how bad he wants it.

The steelers will find a way to bring out a mean streak in him.....or they will send him packing simple as that. In the NFL there aren't many guys that can get away with taking plays off...

I,personally don't think he will make it. They may give him one year to prove himself but after the 2015 training camp, he will probably be gone.

they will give him this year to learn things. then next training camp, if he doesn't really step up, they will let him go.

Baring health issues, it will be interesting to see what he does when he's not double-teamed every play. If he could just push straight ahead then fall with both arms outstretched, good things are bound to happen eventually.

He signed a four year contract already they must see something. I believe he will do really well in Pittsburgh. Good DC and won't have to worry about having a new position coach every year.

Every NFL draft pick gets a 4 year contract and not all is guaranteed.

I'm sure big Dan is a good guy and I hope he makes the most of his new NFL contract to improve his life and the lives of those he loves, but it just doesn't seem like he has the right mentality for big time football. And that's ok, most people don't.

man you must be blind.
You don't have a f-ing clue as to what his "heart" is....hater. You're one of those that love to cannibalize our own. Like hating on Tyler Bray, even though he lead us to having the 2nd best offense in the SEC in 2012. If our offense was as bad as our defense, we'd have been blown out in nearly every game.

As a Vol fan, we should go easy on our own, but retards like you don't get that concept. You just blast away with both barrels, not realizing that these same players, former players and even recruits likely visit these forums.

McCullers trimmed down a LOT while he was here. That told me he has heart. Big guys have BIG appetites, and it's probably harder for him to trim lb's than smaller athletes. Where he was lacking was speed off the snap. He can continue to work on that, and I'm sure he will at Pittsburgh. They are a blue collar team, and Tomlin will get it out of him.

I'm just amazed how many idiots here think they know about a player's intellect, drive and work ethic...when in reality, you goobers don't have a freakin clue.
