You know, I saw that and the title and the photo to start sure made it seem like it was going to be some dark, evil piece.
But then I read it.
And what it really was, in my opinion, is Greer whining, first that the NCAA screwed him, and then that McElwain didn't just put a place holder on the QB spot for him for a whole year. I mean, the nerve of McElwain, going out and recruiting quarterbacks!
So then Greer and his Dad have a sit down with McElwain and McElwain, appropriately, says look kid, I don't know what is going to happen. Greer is out for a year, life goes on. We have to get ready for the future. No, we are not guaranteeing you anything. And then when Greer confronts him again, McElwain has had enough, and basically says, if you want to be sure you are playing again, go somewhere that will make that commitment to you, I can't.
McElwain comes off to me as honest and forthright. Greer as entitled. And at the end of the article, it just seemed to me that it was Greer SAYING he understood the mistake was his, but then literally trying to blame everyone else for the consequences.
I hope every single recruit Florida is after reads this
