Mcfadden could be out for the Cotton Bowl

With an NFL career approaching rapidly and after all he's been through at Arkanasas the past 2 years and now getting stuck with Bobby Petrino, I can't really blame the guy. They ought to give every player on the roster an Escalade.

If McFadden's out my upset pick sucks. Damn you GM for making a fine automobile that NFL prospects cannot resist.

Can't blame #5.

His coach is gone...he's a lock to be the #1 pick...why risk another tackle before you sign your first NFL contract....sign with an agent, get a new car, and relax until April.

Yes,.....yes of course. By all means. Fold up your tent and abandon your team, friends, and fans. Very Petrino-ish if you ask me.

What ever happened to finishing what you started?

I heard the Dolphins may want him since Brown's injury is hampering his play.

I'd say he's contributed enough to his team, friends and fans. Don't get me wrong - if he were a Vol, I'd want him to play the game - but, you can't really blame him for looking ahead to his pro career, in light of what's taken place at Arkansas recently.

The "Tuna" is shopping that #1 pick hard. The Dolphins won't get McFadden. More likely that the Cowboys or Patriots will.

I've read on here that the Pats are out to get Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. I'm not sure they'll be able to pay McFadden after all that. I could see the Patriots trading their pick.

Don't blame McFadden one bit. Are the redneck boosters going to pay him the money he loses if he gets hurt in a meaningless exhibition like the Cotton Bowl? Are his worthless teammates, who have ridden his back to the modest success they've had the last two seasons, going to pool the money they're going to make managing Wal-Marts and coaching high school football in Nowhereville, AR to help cover any possible losses? McFadden watched the trash fans at Arkansas rip apart a coach he was obviously close with. I can't think of any better tribute to Coach Nutt than for D Mac to go D-X on the Pig Idiots and tell them to "Suck It!!!"

There are several coaches that signed million dollar contracts that you need to be asking that to before you ask McFadden or any other college athlete that signs a contract for a scholarship to Arkansas.

coach's salary >> value of an Arkansas scholarship

Miami doesn't need McFadden, New England doesn't need McFadden. I'd expect Oakland to make a move for him, Houston, too.

Why doesn't Miami need him? Ronnie Brown gets hurt every year. I know because he screws my FF team every year... :)

I remember the Tuna giving praise to the Patriots for understanding how interchangable the running back position is in an NFL offense.

Therefore, like you there SuperDave, I don't see Parcells picking up McFadden. I don't see the Patriots doing it either because hell look what they've done this year with out a big name RB. The Patriots need to upgrade the defense much more than they need a new high dollar running back.
