McNabb not the only one confused about OT

makes a little sense based on the playoff rules but this guy is making enough money that he should know the rules of the game.

Guy was describing Arena Football rules there.

There's a gulf between what a QB should know and what a Kicker should know.

I lost a lot of respect for McNabb after he didn't even know the overtime rule. I really hope he knew the rule and just said he didn't for whatever reason. Otherwise I don't mean to be insulting but I consider him a damn moron.

How hard can this possibly be? I've known the NFL overtime rules since I was six years old. They made a change in the playoff rules this year, and after I read one article about it, I A) immediately understood the change, and B) knew that it didn't apply to the season. It's pretty staggeringly indefensible for a player not to get it. I mean, it's not like it matters, in that it doesn't affect how a kicker approaches the ball and the uprights, but man, it sure makes him look stupid.
