Looks like a mistake like Palardys rating was -- I hope they didnt sign him because of the stars rating - he is not even close to a SEC type DB

Have to think he was a product of failed coaching..tools had to be there to get the rating.

Like a mechanic (coach). You could have all the tools in the shop to use to fix a car but if you don't even know what an engine looks like the tool is just a shiny piece of metal

McNeil is SEC caliber. His coaching and schemes this year were not. The kids have to be put in a position to succeed.

5 stars are supposed to be good enough to start as freshman - see UF, Alabama , and LSU - no reason he couldnt stop that Kentucky RB

Like Gray in the Troy game, he has been thrown into the fire too early. We shouldn't have to rely on freshmen to win.

I think he is one of our top Dbs our safteys have not been the problem. They are having to make too many plays in space because our front seven sucks other than AJ Johnson.

I think he was a 4* by most services. don't recall a 5* rating attached to McNeil but may be wrong. anyway, not sure what the op is looking at. McNeil, if he continues to learn and keep his head on straight, will become an all-sec type player, imo, tifwiw, wtf.
