McRae one to watch in tourney

I'd like to WATCH him get the ball inside and let Stokes open it up for him a little bit. He needs to raise that we go as Stokes and/or our PG goes. If he has a great night on top of that, it's just a bonus.

I hope you are right, but away from home he seems to be a underachiever to say the least hopefully he will change that. Starting with today against Florida.

The reason I love this team over the last two weeks? Cause McRae doesn't have to be a one man show. A balanced team goes far in the post season. A one dimensional team gets swept by Texas a&m

This Florida game should tell us if Mcrae has fully accepted the Team concept. Now that UT is playing a great team i have to wonder if he will he come out trying to force his shots/style of play or feel that he needs to carry the team against elite competition.

When we have floundered - McRae has chosen to be a one man show. Any team with Stokes and Maymon down low shouldn't have McRae shooting 21 times a game or going 1 for 15 against Florida and so on and so on.

As many folks expected, the top 4 seeds made it to the SEC tourney semifinals. When this happens, it's hard not to wonder why they bothered to invite the other 10 teams. All those preliminary games seem almost superfluous now.

I think you have started to see him do that already over the last five games. No surprise, we're 5-0 and have never trailed in a game since Feb. 22nd as a result. McRae and Stokes were locked in a battle of wills for a long portion (an unsuccessful portion) of the season. McRae finally came to realize he doesn't have to launch 20 shots/gm for this team to win. In fact, it hurts his team to do so more often than not. Our bread is buttered in the paint.

Disclaimer: I realize competition plays a role. But beating teams by 20-30 points is impressive, and is a result of playing as a team, and not a team of individuals.

My concern too. He needs to keep to what's working and not deviate from the plan.

Notice how quick McRae went to the bench yesterday? And the little run we immediately went on?

Seems like Martin or an assistant is keeping tabs on it, or maybe just a coincidence.

The SECT is useless unless you wind up with a GA '08 and it gets someone in the NCAAT who doesn't deserve it and it shows really quickly. But I have a feeling money may have something to do with it. But hey, here's how little GA knows about basketball. They all thought they won the SEC when they won the SECT and I'm pretty sure those idiots have a banner up for that. They thought it was the SECC. Common mistake amongst people that worship the ball that bounces funny.
