guys we aren't clemson. we've never been clemson. we let dudes take visits. this has been a staple of our program and recruiting for decades. just b/c we had a flip doesn't mean everyone's leaving. don't be soft, let the kids go have some fun for free. I know I would be doing the same. Free trip to see SEC football with my friends sounds like a great time. Hell, I'd take an official to Hawaii...

GFW it’s Auburn not Hawaii 😂

I get your point, just giving you a hard time. I will say as far as just “visits” to other programs don’t usually concern me. Auburn with their history and his friends already being committed there gives me some pause.

Per latest trail tidbits, even when smith committed he let it be known he was still going to take visits.

But Matt Ray also pointed out how this kid has been in Zion Elee’s ear, peer recruiting. Elee didn’t even have us in his top 5 when he released it, but smith peer recruiting him has got him really interested in Tennessee now, hence why he is wanting to come visit this upcoming weekend.

Auburn is continuing to work on him and is expected to host him on an official visit the weekend of November 3rd. Taking official visits during the season is something he has always planned on doing, so this does not come as a major surprise. He will return to Tennessee this weekend and is expected back in town next weekend for his official visit with the Vols.

RC said prob gonna visit AUB in the coming weeks + may also return to AUB for an OV after that. If they get him on campus 2x then it becomes more interesting.

If this kid has watched our defense, specifically the DL, and he still ends up preferring Auburn, Hugh Freeze, and losing...well, that's his choice, I guess.

Probably not. just may not like the impending changes if/when Campbell jumps in. I have no idea if AU is actually a better spot in that regard. but in any system where you make changes, you can't be too surprised if one changes sparks another.

Don’t overlook that he has three teammates already committed to Auburn. Three guys he knows, three families his parents know. That could be the pull.

Fair enough. No matter the reason, Auburn, on paper, is a severe downgrade. But hey, we like what we like, and that hasn't stopped the other 7 top-100 kids from going there. I won't fault the kid if that's what he chooses. He's got two teammates at Tennessee, too.

Yeah I’m not saying it’s the best situation at Auburn. Just sometimes kids and their families make weird decisions. This kind of makes the most sense. Obviously freeze is doing a good job of selling something down there with the recruits he has coming in.
