Never seen anything like this. Duke is throttling them. It's 64-23 now after only five minutes of play in 2nd half.

I've defended Williams numerous times and I still maintain he's a great X's and O's coach, but he just doesn't have control of this team at all.

I think at some point, your message just wears thin. Gary's been there a long, long time.

Duke's playing well....alot better than it has the last few seasons. Question is though can they keep this up going into the tourney, something that hasnt happened the last few years

Duke hasn't been good defensively nor have they been able to rebound in several years. Now they can. As a Dukie, I'm usually very pessimistic about them, but even though they are lacking in size, their guard play and all around game should easily carry them into the second weekend and likely more.

It sounds cliche', but he used to have so much more fire and passion. I've only seen MD about three times this year, but this year he just looks exhausted.

Seeing Billy Hahn on the West Virginia bench today reminded of something. All of Gary's staff from the National Championship season is gone. The effect of that can't be underestimated.

Gary is now trading accusations with his athletic director about the decision to not admit Gus Gilchrist and Tyree Evans. Tough times in College Park.

I always liked Gary Williams and the whole MD BB program, only team in the ACC I cared for, I never thought I'd see a Gary Williams team this bad, they have been declining every year, I beleive it is time for him to call it quits, at Maryland anyway. Maybe a change of scenery would invigorate him.
