perhaps "missing" the story is different than "reporting" the story. Anybody can report that upwards of 2 million people converged on the National Mall for some protest or other.

and yes, LG, I use the 2 million number because from the pictures I saw, that estimate is accurate, not because Rush told me so. Screw what O'Reilly, you, and the DC fire department reported (at 9 or 10 am).

What happened is that FOX and their owned newspaper did a story about how the mainstream media ignored the protests in Washington and how that claim is pure fantasy.

these other networks did very little coverage. CNN covered the entire Million Man March, that ended up being far from a million men, but they half arse covered this. instead they found a poster that one idiot made and went up to African Americans and asked if the poster seemed racist to them. man that's some journalism for sure

What happened is that FOX and their owned newspaper did a story about how the mainstream media ignored the protests in Washington and how that claim is pure fantasy.

They gave it very little press compared to other "rallies" with far fewer people.

I compare it to the UT/Florida game. I would say several talking heads "ignored" the UT/Florida outcome, compared to how they all spouted Florida would kill UT. Before the game, it was non talk stop about the massacre, but afterwards, the coverage was significantly less.

Had the rallies been a failure in terms of attendance, like only a few thousand showed up, I think CNN and MSNBC would have been all over that. Just like I think had Florida actually taken UT to the woodshed, ESPN and others would have been all over it.

Ummmm...where are you getting this 60,000 number? Is this the number the DNC told you? Looking at the pictures, nobody with any sense would say it was only 60,000.
