From Red & Black.com

"Coach Cutcliffe started understanding what they were doing. He relayed it back to Erik and he started seeing it.We started seeing it at receiver and everything started working".Robert Meachem.

"There's times when I know we forced him(Erik Ainge) to read second and third progression, but he had time to do that.Offensively, if you can block four seconds, that's pretty good, they blocked four, five, and maybe six a couple times".Richt.

that's pretty telling....

me thinks Mr. Richt got himself out coached. Never thought i'd say that after a UT/UGA game with him at the helm.

First time Cut was in the mix. Something Herr Sanders couldn't figure out and Cut did from the box.

Thing is, under Sanders the players were so undisciplined that he COULDN'T coach from the box... I think he called a better game up there, but had to be on the sidelines to keep the offense in line.

Cut has his guys so straight that it isn't a problem for him to work from up there.

In the Fulmer show, CPF spoke often of a play being the second or third option in EA's progression. Once, the B.Smith catch that was overturned I think, Fulmer said Ainge gave up on Bret's route and then came back to it.
To be able to do that, so many things must be done right.
From pregame film study... to line execution...to route running... to the QB not getting flustered in the pocket.
Everyone in orange did their homework, and then went out and executed the gameplan. And because of that, we are not sitting here bemoaning another session of quotes about "it was just one little thing that kept it from working..."

Feels good don't it folks.....

Yeah, brother! Coming out of the 5-6 valley of last year makes one appreciate all of the little things. Vols are much funner to watch this year --and not just because they're winning, even some wins last year were hard to watch!

Every time they showed Richt on the sidelines in the second half, he was just standing there with his arms crossed and a blank look on his face. I think he knew it was over.

Was happy to see that look on the other sideline this year. Priceless!!

I thought we were there when we got the TD before half. I told the guys in the bar around me to not worry. We had it. Sure enough we did. I can't lie, I didn't think we would hang half a bill on them.

Let me see. This was the second time this season that basically upstairs read everything from the other team and relayed that down. The other side claimed we had inside knowledge that last time. Personally I think Cut's just that @^%$# good of an OC.

Several UGA fans kept telling me we better win a title quick because Cut won't be around for long.

thats because they don't want him to be around for a long time....nobody with UT on their schedule wants Cut to be around too long cause we are about to get VERY dangerous if he in fact does

Well what do you usually see coaches do? Unless there is an argueable call or something.

Reminded me of Les Miles last year at LSU. One of the few good memories of the '05 season.

Given his pathetic clock managing ability, he may literally have believed the game had concluded.
