Just wonder who Tennessees meanest nastiest players are? I believe the mean streak has been missing for a few seasons but you have to have a few of those players that will do WHATEVER it takes to win. Last years Offensive line had 5 great guys. You would be proud to know them, but I never got the feeling that they were mean or nasty at all. Anybody hear who might have that mean streak when the lights come on?

Vereen and Jordan Williams come to mind. I'm thinking Marcus Jackson, coleman Thomas, and Mack crowder will turn some heads with their gritty style.

Mean and nasty is fun, but there's something to be said for sportsmanship too. :)

Ill take mean! Never got 100,000 to watch the Boy Scouts. J/k Seriously in ice hockey what those 2 players are actually doing is matching up, if the fight escalates between the 2 fighting these guys have picked someone to "go" with. Watch # 42 hand grab him some jersey.

Maggitt is always smiling but I bet he can get a mean streak going when the whistle blows!

I guess that makes more sense than the guys bonding over a good fight. :p

I was watching a game from the aluminum stands in the end zone at Neyland in the late 70's when a center flinched before snapping the ball. Noonan, the nose guard hit him so hard he was carried off on a stretcher.

There is a big difference in mean and dirty. I never cared for dirty players but those Nebraska fullback (Tom Osbourne era) were just nasty! They were the guys you wanted in a back alley fight. In the height of Tennessee football we had some linemen like Cosey Coleman and Aaron Sears that enjoyed destroying the man in front if them and then pulling to the edge for a cornerback snack. I'm hoping our new O line has a lot of nasty. The last guys were talented but soft, IMO.

I just have a feeling Crowder would bite you in the neck at the bottom of a pile ... my kind of Vol OL.
